All activities are carried out by the application of national and international Design Codes (eg CNR-UNI, BS, Eurocodes, ANSI, ASME, API, ACI, AISC) and by the systematic use of Information Technologies (CAD techniques, use of products design and 3D modeling, etc.).

The design activities are strictly controlled in house, in accordance with Sidercad tested and certified Quality System.

Operation stages: general organization and coordination of design, concept design, economic evaluation, cost/benefit analysis, topographic and geotechnical surveys, technical and economical feseability studie, preliminary design, final design, detailed design, BOQ and estimate, technical assistance for contracts, procurement, construction management, final inspections at site, project management and owner engineering, security.

Design documents: structural analysis in static and dynamic fields, FEM models, drawings of steel, r.c. and p.r.c. structural elements, workshop drawings including assembly and erection drawings, base and material lists, construction details, 3-D models.

The activities of the Engineering Area are supported by a research activities, performed in collaboration with several universities.

The high level reached, allows Sidercad to cover a market made up of large, medium and small companies, also offering them a support service.
