In 1986 Sidercad was established as a Consortium within ILVA group.

In 1991 Sidercad became a joint-stock Company.

In 1995 the Company left the State Holding circle following one of the first management buy-outs in Itlay.

After 1997 Sidercad requested and obtained from the RINA body ISO-9000 certification of quality management system both for the Engineering and  for the Information Technology departments (certificate # 672/97).

Since April 2001 Sidercad has been promoting the creation of an Engineering and Architecture Consortium aimed at GATHERING ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURE COMPANIES INTO A PERMANENT ASSOCIATION, in order to participate in tenders at national and international level and to acquire major orders providing extensive expertise and substantial resources.

During its life Sidercad has achieved a significant background and experience in the fields of Engineering and Information services and collaborated together with important Italian and foreign Companies.

Sidercad works with customers such as Enel, Sorgenia Group, Edison, RAI, RFI, Ansaldo, FIAT, ITALFERR, Technip, Techint, Snamprogetti, Gruppo IREN, ANAS, Grandi Lavori Fincosit, Coopsette, Ansaldo Energia, Ansaldo Nucleare.

Sidercad activity coupled work and research, concerning “Procedures and Design Methodologies” and “Information Techniques”, all developed jointly with to Universities, Italian/European research Bodies and software houses.
